Session Application

Getting Started with Your Session Application
In order to submit your application, you will need to login using your membership login information. (Please note: you do not need to be a member of BIO to submit an application. Also, the Session Application will be unavailable every Wednesday 6:30 - 10:00 pm EST).

If you do not have a membership login or have forgotten your password, visit the login page. If you have questions regarding submissions please contact or call 202-962-6655.

NEW for 2008! All International Seminars will now go through the Session Application Process. Please select the "International Seminars" track and indicate your country in the title of your application.

Once you have logged into the application site, you will be able to create as many submissions as necessary. While the application is open, you will be able to go in and edit/add/delete to each application as needed. The application will close on Friday, September 7, 2007 at 5:00 pm EDT and at that time, the information for each submission will be considered final.

Submission Criteria
All submissions must include the following in order to be considered:

  • Session Contact (The Session Contact will be the person submitting the application and will receive all communications from BIO.)
  • Suggested Tracks: Bench to Products, Bioethics, Biopreparedness/Emerging Diseases, Business Development, Clinical Research/Clinical Trials, Devices and Predictive Diagnostics, Doing Business Globally, Drug Discovery and Development, Emerging Company Issues, Finance, Food and Agriculture, Global Health, Growing the Biotech Workforce, Industrial and Environmental, Intellectual Property/Legal, International Seminars, Manufacturing, Policy, Public Relations/Investor Relations, Regenerative Medicine, Regulatory, Technology Transfer/Licensing, Other
  • Session Title
  • A 3-4 sentence description of the proposed session topic
  • 3 objectives of the proposed session topic
  • Chair, including contact information and invitation status
  • Speakers, including contact information and invitation status (Please note: each proposal must include at least three speakers. One speaker may also be the proposed chair. Only one panel member may be from the same organization.)
  • Answers to the following questions:
    • Why should this application be selected for the BIO International Convention program?
    • What is the purpose/goal of this session?
    • What new information will be imparted by this topic?
    • What audience does this session target?
    • What take-home value will the audience have at the end of the session?
